Poor dead forums...
Okay, so today is voting day!!
I have no problems with admitting that if I were able to vote today, my vote would be for Barrack Obama. I don't trust McCain, mainly because of what everyone likes about him- His war expirience. Yes, I appreciate what he did for our country, but I don't want to live in a place where war is necessary. With his background being mostly military-related, it is logical to assume that that is his area of expertise. This war needs to end with Bush.
Another against McCain is only half about him. I absolutely cannot stand Sarah Palin, his VP nominee. She goes against every single one of my morals and her main platform seems to be "look at me, I'm just a normal person! I watch hockey. I have a big family who lives in Alaska. Oh, and I can see Russia from there! Vote for me!!!" She is against abortion, even in the case of rape and incest. She voted through a bill that legalizes killing wolves from helicopters. She is an avid murderer- i mean hunter and I can not stand her. I can not stand the idea of her being in power. She's just a puppet the Republican party picked up so they can say,"look, we got a woman! She's the next Hilary because they're the same gender!!!" in order to pick up old Hilary supporters.
Yes. I believe I have found the true identity of the Anti-Christ.
I realise I have bashed McCain and said nothing for Obama. I will start by saying that I like his economic plan. Yes, I actually read that thing, amazing isn't it? I believe most of it will work to ease the national debt, which should be our main priority right now.
The only arguments I've heard against Obama are "OMG WTF how can u vote for him! He's muslim!!" Which A) Has not been proven true and B) So what if he is?
I love how the U.S. was established under the pretense of religious freedom, yet half the country is running around like idiots because of the possibility that a *supposed* Muslim could take office.
Oh, and God forbid he wants to talk and reason with the countries we're at war with rather than blowing them up, what is he thinking?!?!
And the independants? Who really knows anything about them?
But if I were actually voting, I would definitely look into it
The amendments:
Amendment 2 is the anti-christ's minion.
Again back to amendment
1of the Constitution- Right to religious freedom. Give me one logical reason that same-sex marriages should not be allowed.
The only ones I've heard, (and these are not at all logical) are A) It's icky and B)Well the bible says...
I have absolutely nothing against the Christian (and other) religion. Until it infringes upon the rights of individuals. Even those who are not bound to the bible, or still believe in it, but find some parts outdated (which the majority of people have in most cases, think about everyday life). If you think it's icky then fine, don't go to gay weddings, be a biggot and refuse to be friends with gays (which I'm sure you already have) but don't deny them the right to declare
Love of all things. Isn't that what religion is supposed to be about?!?
Love?!? I can't imagine how people can worship a god who refuses aknowledge love as a genderless, beautiful and wholey
good practice, no matter who it is between.
Amendment 1- The whole illegal aliens can't own property thing. To be honest, I don't know a lot about this one. My only thoughts are that America does not have enough supplies for its rapidly increasing population. Jobs, houses, food, water, everything will start to run out if we keep allowing more people in. If people are illegally in this country, I do not believe they should be afforded all rights of a citizen. No matter where they are from or why they are here. This is only concern for the rapid deteriorization of our country, not to be confused with racism, xenophobia or corrupt nativism whatsoever.
